Data Scientist Programmer (expired)
The BIO3 (Biostatistics, Biomedicine, Bioinformatics) group at the GIGA-R Medical Genomics Unit of the University of Liège (Belgium) is always looking for data scientist programmers to support its activities in systems genetics and systems medicine with Big Data.
Requirements
We are particularly interested in exceptional team players who have a passion for software development in a biomedical setting. To be eligible, you minimally have a Master Degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Medical Informatics, Small Particle Physics or a related field, but most importantly, have an excellent knowledge of C++. As a programmer in C++ you are able to set up testing frameworks to detect bugs and remove errors. Experience in modern software development technologies, such as parallel computing or cloud computing, are an extra advantage. Good English communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary, as well as being able to meet deadlines.
